Shropshire Geodiversity Action Plan (SGAP) is being prepared by a Working Group comprising Shropshire County Council (Planning Development and Museum Services), the Shropshire Geological Society and the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. The aim is to produce the SGAP by mid-February 2007 and is seeking to promote a wider understanding of the issues and opportunities affecting geological sites and resources within the county, establishing a coherent framework within which actions to protect and promote the Shropshire's geological heritage can be identified and progressed.
